UPDATE!!!: The Dirt in Your Shoe Duathlon on Sunday, February 13th will be a 2022 Team USA Off Road (Cross) Duathlon World Championship Qualifier! There will be 10 qualifying slots in each age group for the 2022 Cross Duathlon World Championships in Targu, Mures, Romania June 6-12, 2022. This is a huge opportunity! National Championship Event Policy for Completion of the Entire Course
The USA Triathlon policy governing decisions on the question of the completion of the entire course of any National Event shall be: “Athletes must complete the entire course as prescribed, including all segments in the correct segment order as prescribed by race management. Any failure to so complete the entire course shall be deemed to constitute an unfair time advantage, regardless of overall timing data for the individual athlete, and shall result in disqualification. Athletes who depart from the course must reenter at the point of departure before continuing.”
Dirt in Your Shoe Du is a race that is packed with adventure and fun! The event is located at the beautiful, private Magnolia Hill Ranch in Navasota and will consist of a 2-mile trail run, 9 mile bike, followed by another 2-mile trail run.
The run will be on a mix of single track trails through the piney woods and jeep/gravel roads winding through the property.
The bike will be on jeep/gravel roads- free from automobile traffic. This is a fast course- friendly to all levels of riders.
This ranch is open to events only, so take advantage of this time to come explore new grounds.

Special test/challenges: This will be a quick (usually 5-10 minutes) mental, physical or teamwork challenge. Example: Filling a bucket with water using a sponge.

Sunday (Day of race at race) 7:00-8:00 a.m. (Only $5 add on at registration) Please email race director asap if you decide to do this option after registering.

The land owner is offering primitive (no water or electric) camping at this years Dirt In Your Shoe Duathlon and Adventure Race.
It will be $30 per tent per night with up to 4 individuals. $10 land use fee for individuals not registered to race or volunteer.
We have an exciting new event to add to the Sunday Duathlon.
It is a "Tri team" Super sprint Duathlon consisting of a 2K run, 3K bike, 2K run, 3K bike. This event will happen after the main Duathlon but before awards.
Best thing, it is FREE for Duathlon or Adventure race participants. The course is spectator friendly allowing for maximum cheering.
Your team can have 2, 3 or 4 racers to complete the 4 legs of the relay race.
Registration will be open for this event once we get closer to the event.
