Chasing Dreams 5K & 10K Race Benefiting Running Down A Dream

Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with a run that embodies the spirit of community, freedom, and the ability to chase our dreams! Join us for San Antonio's Chasing Dream's 6.2 Mile, 10K or 3.1 Mile, 5K Race benefiting Running Down a Dream through a festive and inspiring event that brings together runners, walkers, and dreamers of all levels to honor the values that unite us for a morning of miles, music, food, and fun.  

Hosted by the Dreamers Run Club and Running Down a Dream, this race is more than just a run—it’s a celebration of perseverance, connection, and the power of community. Starting right outside one of the most historic military bases in the Military City of San Antonio, participants will enjoy scenic routes that highlight our city’s vibrant culture and history, all while taking in the patriotic energy of the 4th of July.  

Race Details:  
- Distances: 3.1 miles (5K) or 6.2 miles (10K)
- Date: July 5, 2025  
- Location: Greenline at Brooks City Base in San Antonio, TX
- Highlights:  
   - Pre-race festivities with live music and local vendors  
   - Race swag, including a custom race shirt and finisher medal  
   - Post-race celebration with food trucks, prizes, and family-friendly fun  

Water Stop Location: Between mile 1.25-1.5 (for 5K & 10K) and between mile 4.3-4.6 (10K only)

Space will be limited, so don’t miss your chance to be part of San Antonio’s newest 4th of July weekend tradition.

The first 325 registrants WILL GET a GUARANTEED medal AND a shirt. If you were after the first 325 registrants, you will receive a Dreamers Run Club Tote Bag instead of a medal or a shirt. We apologize for this inconvenience but we had to get our orders in for both medals and shirts last week for them to come in due to the holiday and short week.

**If there are any remaining shirts after the race, you will be able to retrieve one and we will announce if this is possible on race day**

Please enter your First or Last Name on link above and click Search to find your bib number. Take a screenshot and bring it with you to Packet Pick-up. If you forget your bib number, don't worry, we will have a printed list of all participants. Timing chips are affixed on the back of the bib number. Do not bend or tear the bib and always have it visible on the front of your body and the outermost layer of your clothing during the race.

If you cannot make it by the Yard on July 3rd, please be sure you arrive EARLY on race day to pick up your race packet!

Make sure to arrive early, warm up, and soak in the energy — it’s going to be a great time!

POST-RUN DETAILS 

After the run, enjoy checking out our vendor's tables, slide down some water slides at the park, rehydrate at our water stations, and MORE. 

POST-RUN FREE MARGARITA & MEAL AT LA GLORIA BROOKS

After the run, head down the street to La Gloria at Brooks (7622 Kennedy Hill Dr, San Antonio, TX 78235), The first 100 competitors to go over to La Gloria will receive a FREE Margarita sponsored by Astral Tequila and La Gloria. After the first 100, they will be ONLY $5! They will also have a market at the restaurant so enjoy more vendors over there after your meal.
