 Two Cities Marathon & Half 2025 – Official Event Guide

Welcome to the 2025 Two Cities Marathon & Half! This guide contains everything you need to know to have a smooth and successful race weekend. Please read carefully and share with your friends, family, and spectators who will be joining you.

TIME UNTIL RACE DAY

5k Course(New for 2025)

The Kaiser Permanente 5k Gavin Gladding Run/Walk will now begin on Shepherd Ave near Millbrook. All 5k participants will park at Clovis West High School(1070 E Teague Ave, Fresno, CA 93720) and finish at Clovis Community College, where shuttles will return 5k particiapnts back to their vehciles. 

Shuttle Service(New for 2025)

Shuttle Service is ONLY for 5k Runners returning to their vehicles. All other distances(10k, Half, and Full Marathoners) must park at Clovis Communtiy College( Clovis Community College: 10309 N. Willow Fresno, CA 93730). 

RUNNER CHECKLIST

  • Allow extra time for traffic and parking closures. IT IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED THAT PARTICIPANTS ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 45 MINUTES BEFORE THEIR DESIGNATED START TIMES ON RACE MORNING!
  • Set your CLOCKS BACK AN HOUR FOR DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!
  • Bring Registration QR Code to packet pickup (emailed to you before the event).
  • Bring you Race bib and safety pins on race morning.
  • Leave your furry friend(dogs) at home. Although we love our furry friends, they are not allowed on the courses or around the finish area.
  • Bring your drawstring bag provided at packet pickup on race day (for bag drop).
  • Bring your Personal nutrition (if desired) and plan your hydration plan.
  • Pre-planned parking location:
    • 5K – Park at Clovis West High School; walk to Shepherd/Millbrook start; shuttle back after.
    • 10K/Half/Full – Park at Clovis Community College (VIP via Willow; General via International)
  • Confirm start time.
  • Study your race course.
  • Identify a post-race meeting spot outside the finish chute or inside the finish village.
  • Bring photo ID  and get your ID check wristband to the expo or on race dayvif you plan to consume alcohol in the festival.

Saturday, November 1 – 9 AM to 2 PM

  • Bib pickup and participant shirt/hoodie pickup happens here!

  • Come join over 20 vendors as we kick off Two Cities weekend with an exciting Health and Fitness expo with over 20 vendors. 

Festival Food Passes purchased online can be picked up at packet pickup or at the Information Tent on race day.

Reminders for Packet Pickup

Participants Must pick up their bib/SWAG at The Iron Office Health and Fitness Expo. Only those who chose day-of pickup will be able to pick up their bibs on race morning.

For 10k, Half, and Full Marathoners, day-of packet pickup will be under the information tent inside the festival area at Clovis Community College starting at 5:30AM. 

For 5k Runners, day-of packet pickup will take place near the 5k start line on Shepherd/Willow.

Bring your QR code and have it readily availible when you arrive. Each participant will have their own unique QR code emailed to them.

You may pick up a friend/family member's packet if you have their QR code, whcih will be emailed in the weeks before the event.

DROP BAGS

  • 10K, Half & Full Marathon: Bag drop is located at the infromation tent inside the Finisher Village

  • Kaiser Permanente Gavin Gladding 5K: Bag drop is located near the 5K start line on Shepherd near Millbrook.

    • All 5K bags will be transported to Clovis Community College for pickup after the race inside the Information Tent.

  • Use the drawstring bag provided at packet pickup — personal bags will not be accepted.

  • Remove the tear tag with your bib number and loop it through the bag handles before drop-off.

  • Do not leave valuables in your bag — Two Cities Marathon is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • After finishing, retrieve your bag by showing your bib number to the volunteers.

 

TIMING & BIBS

All races are chip-timed using timing tags adhered to the back of your bib. Your time starts when you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish line.

  • Bib Placement: Your bib must be worn on the front of your body, on your outermost layer of clothing, and must not be folded or altered in any way.

  • Live Results: Participants can scan the QR code printed on their bib to view their live results after crossing the finish line

  • Note: Overall Awards will be distributed by GUN/CLOCK TIME and age group awards will be awarded based on CHIP TIME.

Headphones/Earbuds: Earbuds and headphones are allowed, but participants must either keep the volume low or leave one ear free so they can hear instructions from race officials, volunteers, and emergency personnel. Please stay alert and aware of your surroundings at all times.

5k Participants Parking Information

  • Required to park at Clovis West High School (Teague & Millbrook).

  • Participants will walk to the start line on Shepherd between Millbrook & Cedar.

The finish line is at Clovis Community College, where shuttles will return runners to their vehicles after the event.

10k, Half and Full Participants(Parking Information)

  • General Parking: Clovis Community College (access off International Avenue).

  • VIP Parking: VIP participants ONLY may turn into CCC lots off Willow (first left).

 FESTIVAL & BEER GARDEN

  • All spectators are welcome inside the Finish Festival area at no cost.

  • Only runners with bibs and festival pass holders will be served food or drinks.

  • Festival passes purchased in advance can be picked up at packet pickup or at the Information Tent on race day.

  • Beer provided by Michelob Ultra.

Participants must present a valid photo ID (either at packet pickup or on race day) to receive an alcohol wristband. No ID = No alcohol.

 FINISH CHUTE RULES

  • Finishers must not stop inside the finish chute unless for medical reasons.

  • You may not wait for friends or family inside the chute.

Friends & family are not allowed inside the start or finish chute areas and must remain outside from 5:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Awards

  • Top 3 Overall Awards(M/F) for each race will be presented on the Michelob Ultra Stage:

    • 5K – 8:00 AM

    • 10K – 8:15 AM

    • Half – 9:15 AM

    • Full – 10:00 AM

Age Group Awards: May be picked up at the Information/Awards Tent after these times.

 BOSTON CHALLENGE

Presented by Arltetic Apparel – marathon finishers achieving a Boston Qualifying time will receive the Boston Qualified Award. Awards available starting at 10:00 AM at the Information Tent.

FINAL MILE CHALLENGE

The Final Mile Challenge presented by Tesoro Viejo will be availible for pickup under the information tent starting at 10AM for the Full Marathon and 11AM for the Full Marathon.
