George Mason 5K and Fun Run

The George Mason 5K and Fun Run returns to the Fairfax Campus on Saturday, October 18 as part of Family Weekend, bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, and local community members in a shared commitment to student wellbeing.

This free event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. A race shirt is included with registration, and a new Youth Fun Run has been added to make this year’s event even more inclusive for families.

While there is no cost to participate, individuals are encouraged to make a voluntary, tax-deductible contribution to one of several campus funds supporting essential student services. These funds help expand access to mental health resources, housing assistance, crisis support, and more.

Featured Student Support Funds
Participants may choose to support one of the following areas when making a donation:

• Disability Services – Enhancing accessibility and accommodations for students with disabilities
• Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund – Supporting comprehensive mental health and counseling services
• Patriot Pantry and Basic Needs Support – Addressing food and housing insecurity among Mason students
• Victims of Violence Fund – Providing emergency assistance and resources for students affected by violence
• Student Emergency Assistance Fund – Offering short-term financial help in times of crisis
• Student Health Services Fund – Improving access to preventative care and medical support

**Please be aware that there are NO refunds for registration fees. This is a non-profit event, and ALL proceeds support our student body's mental health and well-being initiatives.**
