Indy 500 Mile Challenge

The Indianapolis 500 Mile Challenge and Gasoline Alley 250 Mile Challenge, are more fun with others! Get your friends, family, company, or club involved in your Challenge Team to motivate each other and provide some friendly competition.

Don't forget to send your friends and family your referral link! You can find it in your confirmation email. If team members register through that link, you could get cash back or merchandise! Learn more about our referral program here. 

How to create a Challenge Team:

1. On the first page of registration, select "Yes" when asked if you would like to join or create a Challenge Team
2. Click "Create a New Challenge Team"
3. Select what category your team falls into:
   • Corporate Team - Get your company involved! Make one large company team, or smaller teams for a fun internal competition! 
   • Running/Walking Club - Are you part of a running or walking club? Invite them to join in on the challenge! 
   • College or University - Create a large team for your college or university, or a small team for your campus club or organization
   • Friends and Family - Make a team for your friends and family to see how you stack up against one another!
   • Challenge for a Cause - Is there a nonprofit or cause that you're involved with? Create a team to bring attention to it!
   • General group/club - Don't fall into any of the above? Add your team to this category!
4. Create your team name
5. Set a password
6. Spread the word - Share your team name with friends, family, or anyone else who would like to join! 

How to Join a Challenge Team:

1. On the first page of registration, select "Yes" when asked if you would like to join or create a Challenge Team
2.  Click "Join an Existing Challenge Team"
3. Search for the team from the drop down, or enter the team name in the box
4. If prompted, enter the team password

How to join or create a Challenge Team if you are already registered:

1. On your confirmation email, please click "manage my registration"
2. On the next page, please click "view registration"
3. It will open up a new web page, and you will see some tabs across the top. Please click "Challenge Team"
4. From there, it will prompt you to join or create a Challenge Team! 

Team Captains

The participant who creates the team will be considered the Team Captain, and has the ability to customize the team with a logo or picture, invite participants to join the team, reset the password, and add other team captains.
