Cheer on burro teams, provide water and snacks as needed, document racers' bib numbers as they enter aid stations, and point racers in the right direction.

Safety is a top priority for the South Fork Alder Ass Race. Course Safety volunteers will be responsible for monitoring an intersection and to ensure burro teams are following the correct route along the course.

Sweepers

Details

After the race, ride ATVs from Brown Memorial Park following the race route and pull trail markings and signs.

Details

Ticket sales for Dumping for Dollars and Guess the Winning Time before the race.
Watch for winning square at the start of the race.

Verifying first square with poop.

Duck Race

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Sell rubber ducks to people for the race.
Deposit ducks upstream from Brown's Park at the beginning of duck race.
Monitor flow of ducks towards the finish line at Brown's Park.
Verify which duck comes across the finish line first.
Collect all ducks with a fishing net or other device to be used again next year.
