Help us capture the BIG ass fun and small town charm of race day! Capture racers, burros, volunteers, and crowd/race moments. Get a mix of action shots, candid moments, and finish line photos. Upload all photos to the designated Dropbox folder as soon as possible, add your watermark as photos will be shared.

Aid Stations

Details

Cheer on and encourage burro teams, provide water and snacks as needed, watch for safety concerns and report any issues immediately, document racers' bib numbers as they enter/exit aid stations, and point racers in the right direction of the race course.

Mini Course Aid Station Turnaround Mile 1.5- ATV or POV, will need some sort of shade protection.

Standard Course Aid Station Turnaround Mile 5.5- recommend an ATV or high clearance vehicle, will need some sort of shade protection.
After the last burro team reports to the 5.5 mile turnaround, break down aid station, drive from turnaround on the race route and pull trail markings and signs.

Safety is a top priority for the South Fork Alder Ass Race. Course safety volunteers will be responsible for monitoring an intersection and to ensure burro teams are following the correct route along the course. Stay alert, stay visible and attentive at all times.

Support the official race timer at the finish line. Help record participant's finish time. Watch for safety concerns. Hand out medals, keep medals organized and restock as needed.

Ticket Sellers

Details

Ticket sales for Dumping for Dollars and Time's the Ticket (guess the winning time) before the race. Be enthusiastic- good sales energy matters! Explain how the games work to participants. Monitor the squares to watch for winning square. Verify the correct square when the "winning deposit" happens. Confirm winners and notify race director/assistant race director. Handle money responsibly and keep cash secure. Track sales and maintain accurate records.

Welcome racers, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators. Keep the event flowing and on schedule. Make important announcements (race start time, safety reminders, sponsor shout-outs, and awards). Bring high energy and keep the crowd engaged. Announce finishers and highlight fun race moments. Fill downtime with fun commentary and burro themed humor.
