About Us

The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights(RCAH) holds the Santa Run every year to raise funds. Where do these funds go?

Locally: the RCAH awards grants to Arlington Heights organizations that meet the needs of our young, elderly, disadvantaged, and special needs community. In addition we also  help people in our community who have been impacted by food insecurity by supporting food pantries in Arlington Heights and Palatine and providing Thanksgiving meals to Arlington Heights residents through the Village and the Wheeling Township Food Pantry.  We also provide vision screening for low income residents, do holiday shopping for families in need, and make and serve meals to patients and their families staying at the Illinois Medical District Guest House.  

Internationally: Rotary has 35,000 clubs around the world, with 1.4 million members. Our Polio Plus program is working to eradicate polio world wide as well as other initiatives.  We  work to bring clean water to communities that have none.  RCAH works directly with Ak’Tenamit, a school in Guatemala that teaches native children and teens how to become productive members of the workforce. Rotary also does things that we take for granted like providing underground latrines in Cambodia as part of a program named Sustainable Cambodia.
