Assist the Race Day Set Up Lead and Co-lead with pre-event set up that may include the following: setting up cones, helping with the first aid stations, start/finish banners, tent set up, chairs and tables.

Course Marshals are responsible for ensuring runners and walkers are safe and are heading in the right direction during their time on the course.

Water Station High Priority

Details

Runners and walkers get thirsty! Volunteers pass out cups of water to runners/walkers on the course to keep them hydrated.

Start / Finish Line High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Start/Finish Line Volunteers will be responsible for corralling runners to the start line pre-race and cheering them on as they cross the finish.

Volunteer Tent High Priority

Details

Assist volunteers with finding their stations and providing them with any necessary gear, like safety vests or grabbers. Staff the tent as a resource; serve coffee and donuts. Oversee station clean-up.

Vendor Village Staff High Priority

You must be 15-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Vendor Village Staff assist vendors with finding their spot, setting up their tent and tables, and any other helpful tasks. Oversee clean-up of Vendor Village.

Post-Race Breakfast Medium Priority

Details

Set up post-race refreshments for runners/walkers and re-supply as needed. Oversee station clean-up.

Doggie Dash Area High Priority

Details

Help with the Doggie Dash by corralling participants and their dogs to get in line at the Start. Make sure dogs are leashed with an adult. Oversee any clean-up.

Doggie "Doodie" Medium Priority

Details

Walk around the course and Doggie Dash course to make sure there is no pet waste left behind. Have poop bags on hand to give to pet owners in case they forgot; make sure they use trash receptacles specifically for pet waste.

Details

Race Day Clean-Up Volunteers are responsible for the teardown and pack-up of race day materials that Charm City Run does not take care of (chamber tent, signage). There will be instructions on where to pack up any signage and miscellaneous items.
