Details

Stand at a designated location along the route and direct runners/walkers which direction to go.
Assist with setting up the route with signs, etc.
Cleaning up any rubbish on the route after the event.

Hand out water to runners/walkers as they pass by.
Clean up cups thrown down.
Bring trash back to main area to dispose of.
