Volunteers are needed to help make the packet pickup process smooth and easy for our GO FAR club coaches. Coaches will be collecting their runners’ swag bags and race materials, and volunteers will assist with checking rosters, answering questions, and helping coaches get everything loaded and ready to go. This is a great way to support the leaders who make GO FAR possible!

Volunteer Role Includes:

Recounting swag bags and race materials against coaches’ rosters

Answering basic questions or directing coaches to the right staff member

Being a friendly, helpful point of contact

Assisting coaches with packing their vehicles

Time Commitment:

Volunteer Role Includes:

Picking up your volunteer vest at the Volunteer Tent in the vendor area

Assisting with collating runner food at the finish line

Helping at the start line at 8:30am for wave management

Holding ropes to separate kids in their waves and ensuring runners start at the correct time

Displaying wave designations and helping runners find their starting corral

Assisting with crowd control at both start and finish lines

Helping hand out food bags to runners after they finish

Ensuring spectators stay out of the finish line shoot

Time Commitment:

Hanging sponsor banners with zip ties on the finish line fencing

Assisting with runner food as needed

Helping at the wave start at 8:30am if needed

Assisting with crowd control at the finish line chute to prevent spectators and runners from entering

Time Commitment:

Organizing food and disposing of boxes/cardboard to keep the area clean and safe

Ensuring only runners with bibs access the food

Assisting at the wave start at 8:30am by holding ropes to keep kids separated for each wave

Helping hand out runner food to finishers only

Keeping finishers moving to avoid congestion in the chute

Preventing parents and spectators from entering the finish chute

Time Commitment:

Filling cups half full with water and handing them to runners

Cleaning up cups and trash during and after the event

Encouraging and cheering runners as they pass

Time Commitment:
Volunteers should arrive by 7:30am to set up before roads close. Shifts will continue throughout the race, and you may leave once clean-up is complete. If you’re unable to stay the entire time, just let us know when you arrive what time you’ll need to leave.

Riding alongside runners to promote safety and encouragement

Being alert to any injuries or incidents on the course

Moving injured runners to the side immediately and calling authorities if necessary

Supporting overall race safety and helping maintain a positive environment

Time Commitment:
