Details
The transition area is where athletes move between legs of the race (i.e. swim to bike and bike to run). Volunteers will be stationed between the exit of the pool facility & along the route to transition area. Volunteers stationed inside the transition area are tasked with supporting each athlete as they set up her/his equipment (bikes, helmets, shoes, etc.) at her/his assigned rack space. Volunteers at the dedicated entry/exit points inside the transition area also need to check each athlete’s body marking race number to ensure it matches her/his run bib & bike plate. Once the race begins, transition volunteers will stand at the entrance and exit to ensure athletes are following triathlon guidelines/rules (dismounting, mounting, helmets buckled, etc.).
