To keep our runners and cyclists on course and aware of their surroundings, course marshals will be stationed at critical points along the course to direct athletes the correct way along the way.

Bike Marshals (Sat, 4/25)

Details

Volunteers are needed to ride their own personal bikes throughout the bike tour from start to finish, monitoring fellow riders and assisting with technical help when appropriate. Marshals are then asked to head back up-course to assist runners who may be experiencing difficulties.

Medical Volunteers

Ham Radio Operator (Sat, 4/25)

Details

Ham radio operators will be stationed at each of the course water stations. Duties include monitoring for low inventory of supplies (i.e. water) and the reporting of situations requiring security or medical assistance.

Along the course. Our HAM radio operator chairperson will be in communication with you regarding your assigned location and times.

The committee meets every month from November until race day planning needs for volunteers and helping recruit volunteers.

You will be helping direct the community that are stuck in their neighborhood and help assist them to navigate on race-day. This person should be VERY familiar with the roads and talking on the phone. This is something that has the possibility of being the week of race-day as well as on race-day.

Water Station Captain

Details

Water Station captains would be in charge of recruiting, and leading the water station along the course. It’s a hands-on role right in the middle of the action, perfect if you like leading a team and bringing great energy to the race.
