Our races can't happen without the help of our friends and supporters, who generously donate their time and talents. The Addiction will need around 20 volunteers during the course of the 60 hours surrounding the race time. There are lots of different jobs available at varied locations during the race.
Because of the importance of volunteer staff, and to show our appreciation for our loyal helpers, we are offering a free entry to a future AAR race to all volunteers, OR $75 off a team entry to the Addiction (rather than a future race) for the first 10 volunteers who sign up for at least two 12-hour shifts during the race. After the volunteer signs up (online at the same time as registration opens), we will send a coupon code that will take $75 off the entry for one team member.
Here's the fine print (because there is ALWAYS fine print!): only one volunteer credit can be used PER TEAM (though we welcome additional volunteers!). If the credited volunteer doesn't show, then the team owes us $75 at check-in. Credited volunteers must work at least two 12-hour shifts. The volunteer must register BEFORE the team in order to get the coupon code to be used. And the offer is limited to the first 10 volunteers who register.
Even if you are not attached to a team, we would still love to have you volunteer! Each volunteer will receive a FREE entry for a future race, along with lots of awesome special volunteer swag, food during the race, lodging as needed, and the gratitude of some awesome racers!
