Start 2026 with energy, connection, and a fresh sense of purpose at the New Year Kickoff Smokestack 5K!

Held at Hamilton Landing Park in Stanwood, this family-friendly run welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to celebrate health, wellness, and community spirit. The course follows calm county roads and the Port Susan Trail, with the historic Smokestack visible along the route. Volunteers and clear signage will guide runners and walkers throughout the event, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, walking with friends, or simply welcoming the New Year with movement, this event offers a refreshing way to start 2026 on the right foot. Lace up and join us as we run into the New Year together!

Race Information

Packet Pick-up: Start at 10 am - Participants recommend checking in 30 minutes before the race start time
Timing:
This event features chip timing.

Finisher Medals: Every participant will receive a custom-made medal to celebrate their achievement!
Awards: Celebrate the top finishers! Awards will be presented to the first-place male, female and kid runners.
Post-Race Appreciation Drawing: As a thank-you, all registered participants and event volunteers will be automatically entered into a free prize drawing.
Family-Friendly: Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome! Non-registered family members may join for fun but will not receive a medal or be entered in the drawing. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dog-Friendly: Bring your leashed four-legged friends along to join in the fun!
