About this Race Series
We are very excited to announce the 4th Annual Stafford Race Series. This race series is a must-do for runners in Stafford County.
To be eligible for overall awards you must:
Declare your intent to be a part of the 2021 Stafford Race Series by 4/17/21. See information on the registration site.
Complete the Cabin Fever Virtual race and submit your time. Note: No points will be awarded for scoring purposes because it is not in person.
Complete the in-person option of the 2 races for short course.
Short Course Race Schedule:
Stafford Hospital Cabin Fever Virtual 5K and Virtual Kids 1/2 Mile: April 9-18, 2021
Halloween 5K and Monster Mile: Saturday, October 30, 2021 (Virtual race window: October 30-31, 2021)
Frosty 3 Miler and Reindeer Run: Saturday, December 11, 2021 (Virtual race window: December 11-12, 2021)
Series Scoring
Male and Female races are scored separately. The first place finisher in the race will receive 1000 points. Each subsequent place will have their points reduced by 5. For example:
1st Place = 1000 points.
2nd Place = 995 points
3rd Place = 990 points
and so on......
Each runner is guaranteed a minimum of 250 points for finishing the race.
The points awarded to each person are based on your overall place in the race based on gender. So the first place female and the first place male will both receive 1000 points. Separate leaderboards will be kept for Male and Female.
