About this Race Series

Welcome to the Why Racing Events Sprint Triathlon Series! You are automatically eligible for series points by finishing events in the series. The greater the number of events you enter and the higher your finish placements earns you higher series points.

Series Scoring - Points are earned based upon finish placement in your gender. The larger the number of finishers (male and female combined) in a race the more points are available for that race. Points are determined by subtracting your gender finish place from the points available for that race. If there were 250 combined male and female finishers the points available would be 250. If you placed 10th in your gender you would earn 250 - 10 = 240 points. Points are added for each event in which they are earned to determine your series gender total.

Q: Can I get points for finishing a super sprint distance? A: Yes! You will earn 75% of the points you would have received if it was a sprint triathlon.

Q: Can I get points in the sprint triathlon series for finishing in an Olympic distance triathlon? A: No, each distance has it's own series. You will however earn points in each series you have finishes in for that series.
