About this Race Series

Lighthouse Loop Half Marathon and 5K

There is no better way to spend a crisp, cool, autumn morning than running and there won't be a more beautiful run than through the streets along the ocean and intercoastal waterway of Volusia County.

There is no better venue than The Lighthouse Loop Half Marathon & 5k. Both routes begin in near the base of the Dunlawton bridge Port Orange, FL. The Half Marathon route will take runners south to loop around the historic Ponce Inlet lighthouse with the return trip along the Intracoastal Waterway and over the bridge to finish adjacent to Aunt Catfish's On the River.  The 5K route is a scenic out and back along the mainland side of the Intracoastal to the same finish line and great party!  

There is no better place to be on Saturday, October 26th, 2019.  Lighthouse Loop will raise funds to support the ten public high school athletic departments of Volusia County.  In our first seven years the West Volusia Runners have successfully raised over $140,000 for our student athletes. We are excited to continue to add to the effort with another successful fundraiser in 2019!

Central Florida Legends Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K

Central Florida's Newest Running Event will take place on Sunday November 24, 2019 on the scenic Spring to Spring and East Central Regional paved trails of West Volusia County.  Races will begin and end at Gemini Springs Park in Debary, FL.  

Debary is conveniently located midway between Orlando and Daytona Beach.  Gemini Springs is easily accessible from I-4.  

Events will be hosted by the West Volusia Runners and managed and timed by Runner's High Timing and Race Management.    Legends events are a part of the Live Your Life Well Race Series sponsored by Halifax Health.

The Central Florida Legends include the Skunk Ape Full Marathon, Mermaid Half Marathon and Fountain of Youth 5K.  The routes traverse paved trails, roads and parks full of Old Florida flora, fauna and charm.  They are also flat and fast!  

Stick around after your race for the Legendary Tailgate Party at the finish line!

The unicorn isn't the only mythological creature worth chasing!
