Let’s #UniteAgainstCancer!
In October 2024, Amanda, our dedicated COPH Academic Operations Officer, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Since then, she has faced her diagnosis with incredible strength and grace, beginning a rigorous cancer treatment plan that includes chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and radiation.
Amanda is not just a valued team member, she is a proud New Mexican, a devoted wife and mother of three, and has been a compassionate presence in our campus community for decades. Even now, amid her battle, she continues to work remotely, showing the same determination and commitment that she has always given of herself.
Join me in the 2025 Lobo Cancer Challenge! We are an incredible, active community that is passionate about fighting cancer. Won’t you help me in this fight?
All of the funds raised by the Challengers support cancer patient care, research, community outreach, or education and training at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center in Albuquerque.
Participants are called “Challengers” because in addition to completing our own personal Challenge, we challenge cancer together in our efforts on September 20, 2025. Cancer affects us all, so we are “all in” to fight cancer together.
Every single dollar helps me toward my fundraising goal, and it stays right here to help people in our state.
Click the “Donate” button to make a gift today. I truly appreciate your support!
