Fundraising Success Toolkit

Whether you’re joining friends and family, you’re a team leader or you’re a solo participant, here are some tips, resources and a general road map to having the most successful fundraising experience possible.

Below, you’ll find our top 8 tips for having the most successful Ride for a Healthier Tomorrow fundraising experience possible as well as some resources to help you along the way. We promise it will be easy, rewarding, and yes, definitely even a little fun.

1.  Register
Wait...you already did that.  You're so good.

2.  Kick-Start Your Fundraising
Participants who make a donation toward their own goal raise10x more than those who don’t. Show your supporters how committed to this cause you are—and then challenge your friends and family to do the same!

3.  Personalize Your Page
People want to know why you are participating in Ride for a Healthier Tomorrow—and why you’re asking them to support you. Set up your fundraising page with your picture, personal story or even a video.

4.  Set a Goal
We know goals can be scary, but did you know participants who set goals are 80 percent more likely to achieve—or surpass—them than those who don’t? Set a goal that’s exciting and you’re sure to knock it out of the park!

5.  Get Social
Social media can be a great way to show off your latest vacation and share pics of your kiddos. But when it comes to fundraising, it’s the key to getting the word out early and often.

6. Email! Email! Email!
Think about email fundraising just like snail mail: You might get tons of it, but when you get a birthday card with all the junk and bills, you open it immediately. That’s the power of a good email fundraising campaign.

7.  Recruit
Have friends, family or co-workers who might want to join your team? Why not recruit them to support Arkansas Children’s mission. After all, the more the merrier, right?  Join a team.

8.  Keep It Up
We have a secret to tell you: People in your life want to support your Ride for a Healthier Tomorrow fundraising. They just might need to be reminded. And then reminded again. And then maybe reminded one more time.

*Bonus
Give your supporters an opportunity to support you on your Ride for a Healthier Tomorrow by asking them to donate a dollar amount per mile that you ride. Whether it’s one cent or one dollar per mile, it all adds up for the kids at Arkansas Children’s Northwest.
