Whether you're podium-seeking or not, Beer City is an amazing day. Beer City Half starts and finishes at Bishop Ranch "Off Center," our new name for the space across from Fieldwork Brewing and City Center. The runs take you around Annabel Lake, then out the Iron Horse Trail. You will be treated to a challenging race with mixed terrain and sights you likely never have seen. Beer City Festival includes a half marathon, 10k, and 5k distances. The Beer Stroll is a 1-mile walk for those who are mostly in it for the beer. Beat the Beast is our new take on the beer mile.
You don't have to have been part of other Beer City races to have a great time. You also don't have to care for beer. This gathering is meant for everyone and it's made by runners, for runners. So come out for a great time with sunshine, running, beer, and celebrating.
When you get home we will be there with tastes of beer from the East Bay's great local brewers. Runners drink until noon and then Shindig! kicks off.
Shindig! is our afternoon party, which takes place right there Off Center. The afternoon kicks off with the Top Dog Dash, a short pup run around the Festival that beneifts Love & Second Chances animal rescue. After that there is music from School of Rock San Ramon and GamperDrums Presents, along with our own DJ, fun and games. Shindig is free to attend. There are 2 and 6-beer tasting tickets available if you'r still drinking.
Want to get away? Walk across the street and soak in the Bishop Ranch Farmer's Market that goes to 1pm. Or, hop on the Beer City Trolley and pop over to Danville to visit the Canyon Club and Danville Brewing.

Saturday, September 12 RACE DAY!
City Center Bishop Ranch - Off Center (location). Park in City Center Parking at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd, San Ramon or in the reserve lot and walk to the Race Area, just across Bishop Drive.
7:00 am: Registration and bib pickup opens
8:30 am: Half Marathon Start
8:45 am: 10k Start
9:00 am: 5k Start
9:10 am: Beer Stroll Start
9:45 am: Beer tasting opens for Tasting Only ticketholders
11:00 am: Beat the Beast beer mile
12:00 pm: Post race tasting ends
Beer City Shindig

Swag & Awards
Each Beer City Half runner receives the special Key to Beer City, a comfy, collectible Beer City t-shirt, a 7oz Beer City tasting glass, a custom bib
, and free race photos.
Podium trophies are given to the top 3 in each race by gender. Age group awards are given 3-deep in 10-year divisions (example: 20-29). Age group winners are requested to identify themselves at the timing table.
Beat the Beast and The Beermazing Race have their treats and rewards as well.
Post Run Beer Refreshment
Runners enjoy unlimited 7oz pours from a lineup of great local brewers, including non-alcoholic and gluten-free options, until noon.
Shindig in the afternoon is free to attend, with 2- and 6-drink tasting packages available if you want more. Not running? The Lazy Friend Beer Only Pass gets your non-running friends full tasting access from 9:30am to 5pm — no bib required.
