Welcome to Beer City Half™
Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon. See the sights, run the lake, and drink the brews. Beer City Festival is a full day of fun. Drink local and dig it!
Run the Lake, The Trails, and the Iron Horse!
The day starts with Beer City Half™ at Bishop Ranch — a run around Annabel Lake and out along the Iron Horse Trail. Beer City Festival includes a half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. See parts of the East Bay you didn't know existed. The Beer Stroll is a 1-mile walk. Beat the Beast Beer Mile... well, that's something totally different.
The post-race refreshment introduces you to some of the East Bay's and California's best local brewers. What better place to Drink Local?
Every runner receives a shirt, a Key to Beer City bottle-opener keepsake, a custom tasting glass, a custom bib, and free race photos.
Beat The Beast!
Beat the Beast, we dare you. This is our special beer mile where you race others and one of our Beer City Beasts! Drink 4 12-oz beers while you run a mile. If the Beast catches you, you're out of the race. Better move quick! There's a new Beast at each Beer City, so look out!
Beat the Beast starts at 11:00am.
Top Dog Dash
Leash up and join us at noon for the Top Dog Dash — a half-mile victory lap around the festival with your best (four-legged) friend. Proceeds support Love & Second Chances Animal Rescue.
Dash finishers get the same drink privileges as morning runners, plus a Beer City cape and a 2-drink Shindig pass.
Top Dog Dash starts at 12:30pm.
Shindig!
The Post-Race Party
Once the running and Beast-besting is done, join us for Shindig — a Beer City party with live music, food, and games, right in our own festival area. Sets from School of Rock San Ramon and GamperDrums Presents, plus our own DJ, run from noon to 3:30pm.
Shindig is free to attend. 2- and 6-drink tasting packages are available at checkout.
Beer City Trolley!
Blast off from the festival and visit Fieldwork, Canyon Club, and Danville Brewing! The Trolley runs every 45 minutes from 11am–4pm. Tickets are $5.
