Registration
Registration for the 2027 Junior Olympics is not yet open and informaiton below will be updated for the next year shortly.
Before registering, please ask your child which events (i.e., broad jump, obstacle course, running, softball throw) they would like to participate in. Each age group has five different events to select from, and the maximum number of events per child is THREE. Registration requires a RunSignup account to ensure registrations are secure and password protected, which the child's school will provide. Validation of school enrollment and age will be verified by school administrators before event day.
Registration Deadlines
- If you register online for the Junior Olympics by 9:00pm on Saturday, April 25th, please go to your school check in desk. Your bib will be available for pickup.
- Any registrations after 9:00pm on Saturday will still be accepted, but your child will need to go to the 'Late Registrations' table on Sunday morning.
- We are still accepting event changes through 9:00pm on Saturday, April 25th. Please email juniorolympicsljkiwanis@gmail.com. Any changes will be confirmed by the organizing team. Any changes after Saturday night are not guaranteed. Adding a new event is similar to registration...please go to the FAQ page for more information
Schedule of Events and Map
Please check out this year's Schedule of Events and Stadium Map to see when your child will be participating in events and where they need to be for each event. All times are APPROXIMATE and dependent on the the popularity of each event and the weather.
Event Add-Ons
During registration, you will be asked if you would like to purchase Event Add-Ons. This is OPTIONAL. If you do choose to make a selection, your purchases are tax-deductible and are available on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, please go to the Event Add-On page to see what is available for purchase.
Junior Olympics Photos
Photos taken from last year's event are now available on the Photos page. Search for the student athlete's name and/or bib number. Please note La Jolla Kiwanis only received a small portion of the photo files we were expecting last year. We apologize in advance if photos are missing.
Food Vendors
We have several food trucks that will be providing food throughout the day. They include:
- The Flower Pot Cafe and Bakery
- Belinda's Familia Taco Shop
- Big Oven Pizza
- Italian Burger & Grill
- Sundae Crafts
- Concessions Stand (managed by Boy Scout Troop 506)
The Flower Pot pop up table and Belinda's will be open for business early as 7:00am, and the last food truck will leave around 1:30pm. Please support our vendors by stopping by for food and drinks at the Coggan Swim Center parking lot.
Donations
Although not required, we humbly ask for a donation of $10 per participant. The Junior Olympics is organized and run almost entirely by volunteers (over 100). However, there are some things we are required to source for a fee, including specialized staff (medical and security) and tangible assets (fencing, field equipment).
Event Add-Ons are also tax-deductible purchases (minus any Fair Market Value of your Add-On). Both cash and Event Add-On donors will be listed on our Donor Recognition page. We appreciate your generous support!
