Track Friday

Track Friday is a national movement of active awareness for charities, held on the day after Thanksgiving -- a day that sadly has become synonymous with commercialism, door-buster sales, and marketing schemes.

Running with Kelly is hosting this year's Track Friday event at the Irondequoit High School Track, located off List Ave on Friday, November 28th from 8am-11am.

Getting involved is so easy!  There is NO FEE!!  All you have to do is join the RWK team at the track anytime between 8-11am and run or walk as many laps as you like!  Want to walk10 laps, go for it!  Think you an run 100 laps in 3 hours?  That'd be cool too!

This year RWK is collecting donations (monetary and needed items) for the Sunset House, a local non profit hospice home.  When you register for this free event, you can create a fundraising page, make a donation and share it with your friends and family.

"The Sunset House is a community outreach ministry that provides palliative (comfort) care for those beyond curative or aggressive treatment. The resident maintains control and is assisted through this time of transition. We are there to support, so as to decrease the stress and anxiety of the residents and their families."
