Description

Trail X Endurance & Fit Challenge is where grit meets growth.

Built for athletes of all levels, this challenge blends trail miles with functional fitness to test your endurance, strength, and mental toughness. Whether you're chasing a podium or pushing personal limits, Trail X is designed to make you stronger, faster, and more resilient.  This race will take place on the banks of the red river in Benton, LA at EightFold farms.  Come enjoy the natural beauty Northwest Louisiana has to offer in your own backyard!

Expect:
• Trail-based endurance efforts
• Functional fitness challenges
• A competitive but supportive environment

Show up. Put in the work. Finish stronger than you started.

What types of obstacles?

We have a few confirmed obstacles and will periodically release more from now until race day!  Obstacles will consist of things such as:

A Rubber minefield-A field of tires meant to travel through without touching any rubber.  Classic obstacles - sand bag carry, bucket carry, farmers carry, low crawl and variation of sled pull.  We have many more in the works, just nailing down logistics.

Trail X will offer 3 tiers.

Mathilde Division (3–5 Miles)
The name Mathilde comes from Old German roots meaning “strength in battle.” Throughout history, women named Mathilde (or Matilda) were known for resilience, leadership, and quiet power.

One of the most famous was Empress Matilda, a 12th-century claimant to the English throne who fought relentlessly for her rightful place in a time when women weren’t expected to lead. She didn’t back down. She endured. She proved she belonged.

That spirit lives in the Mathilde Division.

The 3–5 mile distance isn’t about “less.” It’s about stepping into the arena with courage. It’s about strength, strategy, and discovering what you’re capable of when you choose to push forward.

Cortés Division – (6–8) Miles

Named after Hernán Cortés, the legendary explorer and conquistador who famously “burned the ships” upon reaching Mexico, this division embodies total commitment and fearless resolve. Cortés’ decisive act left no option for retreat, forcing his men to conquer or perish — a bold gamble that forever changed history.

This is your opportunity to set ablaze whatever is keeping you from bettering yourself and to march forwards into the challenge.  If you remove your only way out, you can only move forward!

Ragnar Division (10–12 Miles)

The name Ragnar is most commonly associated with Ragnar Lodbrok, a legendary Norse warrior and king from the Viking Age. Though part history and part saga, Ragnar’s story represents bold exploration, relentless ambition, and the refusal to back down from overwhelming odds.

According to Norse tradition, Ragnar led daring raids across Europe, expanding influence far beyond what was considered possible at the time. His legacy wasn’t built on comfort — it was built on risk, resilience, and the willingness to face the unknown.

That spirit defines the 10–12 mile division.

This is the distance where strategy meets suffering. Where endurance is tested not just physically, but mentally. Where you choose to keep advancing even when fatigue sets in.

The Ragnar Division is for those who seek the edge — not because it’s easy, but because it’s there.

Joan's March (Kids FIT Challenge)

Named after Joan of Arc, the fearless young leader who, inspired by visions, led the French army to key victories in the Hundred Years’ War. At just 16, she showed courage, determination, and unshakable spirit—qualities we celebrate in every young competitor. The Joan Division is for the 8–13-year-olds ready to push their limits, discover their inner strength, and prove that age is no barrier to bravery.  This will be roughly a 1-1.5 mile course and will NOT be timed.  We discourage parents from helping their children other than motivational words, but HIGHLY ENCOURAGE the young Titans to help each other and use any team work they feel necessary amongst themselves.

Registration will include a medal upon completion of your event, either a T-shirt or Water bottle, a ticket to redeem a TBD item, plus other goodies donated by sponsors either into your swag bag or to raffle off.
