Racing Rules
- (Electric unicycle) Must be racing on an Electric Unicycle
-(Onewheel) Must be racing on a Onewheel
-(Electric unicycle) Must start with one foot on the pedal and one foot on the ground at beginning of race
-(Onewheel) Must start with both feet on the pads, either back of rear bumper on ground or wheel engaged and ready. Whatever makes you feel more comfortable.
- While racing please try to keep contact with other riders limited as much as possible.
- No pushing or grabbing of other riders.
- Do not cut riders off so aggressively that it could cause them to crash.
- While racing on course some areas may be flagged off showing as to which way to go. Do not go around flagging and out of bounds. Stay on trail as much as possible.
- If you are trying to pass someone and they are clearly slower than you please try to shout to them as to which side you are trying to pass on. If you are the slower rider in front and hear a rider behind you calling out which side to pass on, please try to move aside if possible. The slower rider does not need to stop or move off the trail if there is no room.
- Abusive or foul language towards another rider is unacceptable
- When finishing the race and coming through the finish line there are 3 ways it can happen. The rider can ride their wheel across the line. Push/drag the wheel across the line. Carry the wheel across the line. Rider and wheel must both come across the line. A rider cannot finish the race without the wheel.
- If semi-finals and finals racing are not chip timed. We will have a camera at the finish line ready for close calls. We will base placement off the rider’s tire contact going across the line. This will determine placement if it is not obvious and very close.
- If semi-finals and finals are chip timed, we will go off timing in a close call. Chip (attached to bibs) placement needs to be in the same area for everyone to be fair as possible. Chest or hips are the allowed positions.
- In the unlikely event of a tie in the chip timed qualifying rounds with a time that pushes a rider into semi-finals, the affected riders will race a short track to determine who moves forward. Example* 12th & 13th place tie. Only 12 people can move forward to semi-finals.
- In the unlikely event of a tie in semi-finals the affected riders will race a short track to determine who moves forward to finals.
Example* 6th & 7th place tie. Only 6 people can move forward.
- In the unlikely event of a tie in the finals, the affected riders will race a short track to determine who moves forward to determine placement. Example* 3rd & 4th place tie. Only 3 people will podium.
If 1st and 2nd place tie then they would also race a short track to determine placing.
