Four Wednesday Races make for One Great Series

Plan to get off of work a bit early and join over 200 riders for four spectacular weekdays of racing starting May 29th! Pitched as a race “in your own backyard”, W@W features a very down-home and earthy venue. We are keeping the series as grassroots as you can get. But don’t let that fool you, this race series is a highly organized event, that allows for enough riding categories to give everyone a fighting chance.

Bike Lane Race Team works hard to host a community-oriented race series. We have an all-volunteer staff who works closely with our local IMBA club, Mid Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts (MORE), to make sure we have fun singletrack to race, that is great for everyone from juniors to beginners to elite racers. We also partner with Trails for Youth, who run the Youth Races early in the evening.  A portion of the proceeds from W@W goes to MORE and Trails for Youth.

Wednesdays at Wakefield is not just a few races, it is an epic race series! Some come for one or two events, some even complete four. But for those that are driven, winning the four-race series comes with its own set of prizes! Every place you earn (between 1st and 13th) in the W@W series gives you points towards the Series Championship.

Series Registration prices are as follows:

Pre-registration until May 18th for all 4 races = $90/ $45 for 5:45 pm Youth Races.  (Buy 3 get 4th Free + SWAG Package!)
Pre-registration until May 18th for individual races= $30 per race / $15 for 5:45 pm Youth Races. 
Pre-registration after May 18th = $35 per race  (no discount for registering for all 4 races)/ $20 per race for 5:45 pm Youth Races. 
Race Day Registration for each race = $40 /$25 for 5:45 pm Youth races- ONSITE ONLY

What do we mean by FREE SWAG? Each year we come up with 4 fun W@W  items to be given out at each race, the first race is always a Special Addition W@W T-shirt!  BUT, you will only get the FREE SWAG AND PERSONALIZED NUMBER PLATE  if you pre-register for all four races!  Keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on swag and other W@W happenings!  If you have to miss a race, you can still get that swag item at the next race, however, it must be picked up by the last race on June 19 or after the race series at The Bike Lane in Reston. Swag will only be held for 30 days at The Bike Lane after that it will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Your personalized number plate will include your name and a motivational quote of your choice.  Think of your special saying and enter it during registration and we will add it to your bib (Keep it clean please). You will need to sign up by May 18th to get your personalized plate.
