The National Honor Society (NHS) provides organized community service opportunities throughout the school year. If the nongraduating half of the chapter that is being inducted in October needs a worthwhile cause.
The Wayne Color Run is one.

The Wayne Color Run has been preapproved by the NHS and will provide credit to any current NHS members (or even potential members, as part of their application, is proof of service) if they signup (here) and participate (October 1st). A letter notarizing a volunteer's participation in the Wayne Color Run will be provided upon completion.
