Build Up Obstacle Course on the Beach

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

We will need volunteers to help stage and assemble a total of 10 obstacle and PT course stations on East Beach beginning at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 13th. Volunteers will meet at the 21st Bay beach access entrance.

Location

Meet up at the 21st Bay Street Beach access entrance. Course map and build locations to be provided at that time.

Break Down Obstacles on the Beach

We will need volunteers to help tear down a total of 10 obstacle and PT course stations on East Beach beginning at 12PM on Saturday, October 14th. Volunteers will meet at the 21st Bay beach access entrance.

Race and Obstacle Course "Drill Instructors" aka “Motivators"

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Drill instructors to "motivate" and guide participants. Minimum 2 for each obstacle course station- 1 adult male, 1 adult female at each station.

Location

Each obstacle station/water stop, and various locations along the race routes.

Water Stations

Details

Volunteers to pass out water at 3 different course water stations for 5K & 10K. Qualifies for community volunteer service. Under age 10 requires adult supervisor.
Half Marathon water stations TBD.

21st Bay Street access, mile marker 2, mile marker 3

Finish Line Volunteers

Finish line volunteers to pass out water, medal, snacks, SWAG

Finish Line- Pretty Lake and 25th Bay Street

Race Packet Pick-up

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Uniformed Medal Hangers

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

We are looking for active duty or retired military service members of all US Military branches that can volunteer at the Start/Finish line for our races to cheer on participants and to personally present our finishers with their medals. We are asking that these volunteers be in full uniform that is approved and appropriate for the weather conditions so that our finishers will feel that sense of pride of receiving their medal from you and so that they have the opportunity to in turn, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Start/Finish line of the 5K Challenge and 10K - Pretty Lake Avenue and 25th Bay Street.
Start/Finish line of the Mermaid Mile Kids Fun Run - Public Beach Access at 22st Bay Street and East Beach Drive.
