OBSTACLE COURSE MAP & OBSTACLE DESCRIPTIONS

Monster Barrels
LOWER BODY • CORE • CARDIO • TEAMWORK

Jump early and keep moving! Hands and feet are both required. Focus on the position of your hips, and keep them high, so you can roll over the top.

Side Winder
UPPER BODY • LOWER BODY • CORE

The Key: keep moving. Climbing high on the net will provide less swing in the net, though going low may save you time. Make sure to have a secure grip and good footing as you traverse; maintain three points of contact with the net as you move, and go!

Sea of Ropes
UPPER BODY • LOWER BODY • CORE • TEAMWORK

The Key: backswing. Always make sure that you have a rope in each hand and a disc between your feet. Use the “follow” rope as an anchor to develop backswing. Then, swing through following your “lead” rope. Develop forward momentum, release your “follow” rope, and swing through on the “lead” rope. Transfer to another rope, and repeat!

Gut Buster
CORE • CARDIO

Always keep pressure on the bars by remaining in three points of contact. This means that you are only moving one limb at a time.

Sky Walk
LOWER BODY • CARDIO • TEAMWORK

The Key: attack the trampoline. When you plant your feet on the trampoline, make sure your core is engaged; you want to be as rigid as possible. The energy transferred will send you up to the next platform. Act as if you are about to be punched in the gut when you are jumping on each trampoline. .

Pit Fall
UPPER BODY • GRIP • FEAR

The Key: backswing. Grab the rope, and jump backwards as high as you can. Tuck your knees to your chest, and hang on tight! Use the momentum to swing to the cargo net for a smooth transfer. To reduce the amount of time spent on the cargo net, grab as high as you can on your initial swing.

Chopper Crawl
CORE • CARDIO • BALANCE

Slow is smooth; smooth is fast. Maintain three points of contact, only moving one limb at a time with purpose.

Radial Rings
UPPER BODY • GRIP

Have fun, but be aware that it is easy to get lost and burnt out here. Develop momentum with a ring in each hand until you swing through and forward on your “lead” ring. Maintaining control of two rings will ensure that you have a way to generate a backswing and momentum to move forward.

Spider Wall
UPPER BODY • LOWER BODY • CORE • CARDIO

The Key: clean shoes and warmed-up legs. Keep your body in an upright position, and maintain pressure on the walls with your toes and hands. Move your feet together, then move your hands together. Move quickly! Hazardous when hesitating.

Slack City
LOWER BODY • CORE • CARDIO • BALANCE

Stay low and slow. Keep your eyes at the end of the slack line and focus, focus, focus.
