Child Development Resources (CDR) held a successful summer fundraising event, the CDR SuperHero 5K, raising more than $32,000 for the local organization. The SuperHero 5K consisted of a 5K run/walk, a 1-Mile Fun Run, music, children’s activities, food, and more. The event, which had to be canceled in 2020 due to Covid, took place on Saturday, August 14th at the Vineyards at Jockey’s Neck.
“It was wonderful to bring back this annual fundraising event,“ said Paul Scott, CDR’s Executive Director. “With more than 300 participants, volunteers and supporters, we were thrilled to see our community again. We couldn’t have asked for a better response.”
The CDR SuperHero 5K’s Presenting Sponsor was Branscome, Inc. Other sponsors included: Sentara Medical Affairs Staff; Toano Contractors; Ripley’s Believe It or Not!; Davenport & Company; The Han Zhang & Jinlan Liu Foundation; Minuteman Press; Mutual of America Financial Group; David A.
